I recommend you replace your American Online account with an account
with a Capital District internet provider (I'm satisfied with
AlbanyNet) and get *full* internet access with a web browser.

For a list of local internet providers, see the FAQ in one of the
capdist.* newsgroups.

Once you have web access, you'll find the following:

University at Albany Libraries and Computing:
    <URL:http://www.albany.edu:1080/lib-comp/lib-com1.html>
    <URL:telnet://library.albany.edu/>

I can't find MHLA (but I believe it's available). The NY State
Library is available at:

    <URL:http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/library/>

Southern Adirondack Library System:
    <URL:gopher://sallib.sals.edu/1>
