Just tried to get rid of some used engine oil at the Quick Lube on Central Ave. I had a container that would have taken all of 5 seconds to dump. The shop manager said "We're real busy right now. You'll have to wait until a bay opens up." Fair enough. After all, you can't get to the drains unless a bay is free. So I figured that they'd flag me in when they moved the next car out. Obviously, they did not or I wouldn't be bitching. I waited for about 10 minutes, standing by the door of the garage next to my tub looking like a oil loiterer, being completely ignored. By law they have to take back oil but there's no law that dictates the maximum time they can make you wait, apparently. There's plenty of jiffy-lube type places to go to. When I have reason to go to one or recommend one in the future, it sure as hell won't be Quick Lube. Besides, their prices suck. -jim
