ABSTRACT
In this talk, I will introduce the Phalanx software
system for the construction of survivable and scalable data
repositories. The distinguishing features of Phalanx are its
implementation of strong data abstraction in a scalable way
using untrusted servers and clients. In this talk, I
focused on the protocols used to implement some of the basic
data abstraction that Phalanx supports, in particular shared
variables.
