Good evening,

I have a laptop with :
- a dos harddisk with 30MB free
- a suse linux 5.3 hardisk with 100MB free
- one disk drive (bootable) _OR_ a cd-rom drive (not bootable),
it is not possible to change the drive when the pc is powered
- the cd-rom works under linux

And I'd like to upgrade my system to Suse 6.0. How should I do ?

1. if I run yast from the 5.3 and ask upgrade, it tells me I
have to boot from the boot disk to continue installation
2. booting from cd-rom doesn't work (bios too old I guess....)
3. if I boot from the disk, I can't access the cdrom drive
4. I tried some things with kernel images and loadlin on
the dos harddrive, but without succes
5. I tried to create a little dos partition and to copy the
bootdisk on it with dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/dev/hda6, but I
can't make lilo boot on it :(

Well, if anybody have an Idea, please tell me :) When I installed
the 5.3, I used the network and it took the whole night : if only
I could use the cdroms for that...

Thanks for any hint,
Olivier
