Ich habe ein grsseres Problem mit einem PPP-Dialin Server unter Debian 2.1,
Kernel 2.2.1. Das Ding will mir kein proxyarp machen. Alles was rauskommt ist
das da:

Address HWtype HWaddress Flags Mask Iface
gw.foobar.ch ether 00:00:0C:91:83:F3 C eth0
gate5-14.foobar.ch * * MP eth0
gate5-15.foobar.ch * * MP eth0

Statt:

Address HWtype HWaddress Flags Mask Iface
gw.foobar.ch ether 00:00:0C:91:83:F3 C eth0
gate5-14.foobar.ch ether 00:00:0C:91:83:F3 CMP * eth0
gate5-15.foobar.ch ether 00:00:0C:91:83:F3 CMP * eth0

Die Settings wie folgt:

gw# cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
1
gw# cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/all/proxy_arp
1

Und nach dem einwhlen:

gw# cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/ppp0/proxy_arp
1

gw# cat /etc/ppp/options
crtscts
modem
-detach
proxyarp
debug
lock
ms-dns 123.123.123.1
ms-dns 123.123.123.2
123.123.123.3:

(da hats noch ein options.tty pro TTY das die andere hlfte des IP-paares
enthlt, aber nur das).

Im log steht dann so folgendes:
Feb 16 14:15:12 gw pppd[31524]: sent [IPCP ConfNak id=0x2 <addr 123.123.123.44>

Feb 16 14:15:15 gw pppd[31524]: compression disabled by peer.

Laut dem PPP-Log sieht das ganz in Ordnung aus... Aber wie gesagt,
proxarpen tut er nicht.

Woram kann das liegen?
- Kernel
- PPP
- ARP? (i.e. netbase package)

Thx.
