( yet ) Until then, comments >like the one in this post are pure, unadulterated FUD > FYI: Today's (3 Nov) Washington Post Business section, pg. E2, "Microsoft Paper Talked of Blunting Rival Threat" by Elizabeth Corcoran: "Edward Muth, a group product manager at Microsoft who was involved with the development of Windows 2000, described the document as 'a snapshot in time of how an engineer - Vinod - saw the issues.'" it is confirmed... it *is* a Microsoft document... this *is* part of its corporate think-speak... its actions *are* documented by numerous authors, articles, books, lawsuits... the article mentions "blunting OSS attacks...", highlights the suggestion to pervert established networking protocols for its advantage... what do you think is going on with Internet Exploder? why do you think Sun had to take Microsoft to court about changing Java? this is interesting history in the making, folks... what i find intriguing is the current series of TV ads playing in the U.S., which shows an unfortunate miscreant of a feral street urchin in a 'touchy feely' Microsoft ad... M$ is throwing millions of dollars into TV ads, probably working up for the XMas feeding frenzy here in the U.S.
