Hello,

I had to order a dell desktop for a project (dimension 9150), and
as I will only use linux and freebsd, I'd like to get rid (and money back)
of the microsoft windows xp "included" in the package. Do you have any
recent & practical experience on this topic?  I know some people who tried
that a few years ago, but without success: is it better now?  It shouldn't
take more than one hour...

(at least now, where you order a server, you can have it "naked",
without an OS, but it is not the case yet for basic workstations).
