No doubt it will work perfectly under Windows 95. Under NT, a little
bit trouble, under OS2, wait 2 years for the drivers, and as soon
as Microsoft push it's "Get ISDN Now" far enough, that board won't
offer the right drivers because nobody want to write software
(drivers) for free.

Works perfectly. Be more specific, I may help you. I was able to
setup a Zyxel under Linux (RedHat 3.x) easily.

In a more general way, an external box (TA) brings you OS independence,
OS version independence, and some LEDs which are very quickly returning
some money. If you click "Hang Up" and your internal board firmware crash
and keep the ISDN connection running, you pay maxy $$$. With an external
box, after clicking "Hang Up", check the B1 / B2 LEDs to be sure your
connection was effectively broken.

Moreover, the Zyxel offers you analog (V34, V17 fax) modes, fax receive
without a PC running, and voice fucntions. I seriousely doubt that an
internal passive box has all these functions.

Understand me : I like the cheap boards when it goes to hook up to
the Net with PPP or X75. When you want more, you have to get
something more advanced. In short, you get what you pay for.
