Not of the town, but for each building of the Canton of Geneva.

The global project is the creation of a sort of MAN over the whole canton of
Geneva, realizing now the infractructure of the 21th century. Services that
would be provided over this network are (open list): TV, telephone, interactive
services (interactive TV, tele-buying, tele-*) and of course data transmission.
An initial study was made for the government and delivered in december '95.
Since then, the project is being driven by Mr. Guy-Oliver Second, the actual president
of Geneva's government. But there will probably be no concrete action before the
vote on the bridge/tunnel over the lake, as Smart Geneva implies (a substancially
smaller) investment from the state.
