Archie is able to use a prepared ls-lR.Z or ls-lR file from the
anonymous FTP hosts. It is best when this file is updated once a day.
It is usually placed on the top level or in the pub directory.
By using such a file, Archie can reduce the load on the FTP server,
since it has not to generate a recursive directory listing at the
very moment. A side effect is that it needs less network bandwidth.
