Hello Sun managers,

On our Sparc10 (SunOS 4.1.3) I tried to read data from a magneto-optical disk
 written by a data acquisition instrument. The instrument makes its own file
 system which should be read on the Sun by specific software. We are using a
 brandnew Pinnacle Siearra optical drive. The problem is that the Sun doesn't
 see the optical drive. With an UNIX file system there is no problem to mount,
 read and write the disk. I assume that the Sun cannot access the drive as raw
 device. 

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
