A French webmaster has been found guilty of libel and public slander. On 9 March 2013, the Appeals Court of Lyon confirmed the trial court's ruling condemning Roger Gonnet for libel and public slander against Jean-Luc Barbier. Roger Gonnet will have to pay compensation to his victim and pay his solicitor's fees for a total of 4000 euros. Roger Gonnet has also been sentenced to pay a fine of 1000 euros, suspended for one year. Such a suspension means that he will have to pay the sum to the Court if he commits the offence again. Mr. Jean-Luc Barbier's solicitor was Me. Hervé Banbanaste (Lyon-Paris) -- stop-abus
