Since it's up next month I don't want to fool around with this right now. Network Solution cost me $38 for one year which is outrageous. They used to have multi-year deals but their 5 year deal for me would have saved me a whopping $5 ($1/year). It used to be like 25% savings for three years. I've had this domain for over 10 years, renewing each and every January vowing every year to make a change, so maybe they see me coming. Their reminder emails this year make NS out to be, IMHO, a company not to be trusted. If I'm paying almost 4x what GoDaddy charges I expect some decorum, some professionalism. I checked all these emails and they're legit. They came from NS. Maybe if I get ambitious I'll compile the entire timestamped Subject list. You just have to read the Subject of these warnings to realize how scummy their campaign to get me renewed was. I did renew today BTW. I'm thinking of transferring in Spring hopefully without any kind of long term outage. I wouldn't want all the goobers trying to break into my Wordpress site 500 times a day to not be able to resolve my site for a couple of days. If I do this in May will GoDaddy honor the existing time I have already paid for? I also want to take out another domain name and need a domain host. I've used up all my freebies from Zoneedit. I can't find anywhere what GoDaddy charges for that. They seem to just want to host my site and parsing through all the marketing bullshit is rather tiring. This entire DNS registry business seems to be filled with scumbags. Except for ZoneEdit. They've been rock solid all these years.
