I'm going to tag on to this thread and solicit opinions on net access. I canceled comcast and don't have a land line. there's a net cafe near where I work where I can get access for free, and one near where I live where the charge is $4/hr. I don't care much about bandwidth. and if I need it I can get it at the net cafe. it is nice to have access at home because I can look up stuff like movie schedules, and use the cta trip planner, and socialize on the newsgroup. otoh, I think my memory would be better if I didn't depend so much on the cta trip planner and learned the map of the city better. I think it would be just as expensive to get a land line and dialup as it would be to have cable. any suggestions for home access? -- sheila
