Mirosoft mice have always been pretty much the best you can get, even going back to weird stuff like their "inport" mouse card. I don't think there's a single logitech thing in any of my time capsule junk boxes. Bruce, do you have any Mouse Systems optical mice that need the mouse pad with the grid printed on them, like old sun or SGI stuff?
