If you are a Comcast subscriber, you definitely want to be in an area
in which they have competition from another cable provider or Uverse.

btw, if you ever cancel DSL, then revert back to AT&T, make sure you go
through their "winback" sales group, which will be extremely accomodating.
I don't think you'll be allowed to order DSL through the old DSL group in
future; they'll probably make you go through the Uverse sales group.

Where is your grounded point and first splitter, on the back wall or in
your basement? Like the phone company, they should aim for the same back
wall electric comes in at, but they are sloppy as hell about installing
coax and the drop.

When Comcast knocks out Internet, it's out for days at a time, because
they never commit small screwups. My DSL has been rock solid, but
relatively slow versus cable Internet.
