MCSNet (genesis.mcs.com), or "Karl's Kitchen" is IP 192.160.127.65.
"Gateway.mcs.com", which is the front door, is 192.160.127.100. Yes,
you can telnet to it. Yes, email gets there nearly instantly. And yes,
we are directly on the Internet (via Alternet as a provider).

Chinet gets news via satellite, I get it via NNTP.  Take your pick;
they're both fast.
