Due to an adminsitrative error (the xferstats file was hosed) we have
no stats report for the week ending 11/28/92.

The clout project provides email service in the .chi.il.us domain
for many sites in the Chicago area. For more information about
clout or to report problems send email to postmaster@clout.chi.il.us.

Unusual conditions noted by Postmaster Of The Month or clout system
administrators for this week:

Aside from the xferstats file loss, Gerry Swetsky reported transfer
of a large amount of material to site vpnet via balr, and Greg Gulik
reported transfer of bash sourcecode to gagme, where it is preseumably
now available if you need it. Russell Rezaian has noted that a small
number of sites have not polled clout recently and about 2 megs of
spooled mail traffic has been awaiting pickup for several days.

Since most .chi.il.us sites are in homes where schedules vary over
the Holidays, maybe we should come up with a clout poll reminder like the
Fire Department does to remind people to put batteries in their smoke
detectors when we change to Standard Time. How about, "Sure, Dear, you
put another log on the fire, and I'll poll clout?" or "Time to baste the
bird and poll clout?" or "No, ours is a liberated relationship. Let me
share. I'll take the garbage out _and_ poll clout, you just relax tonight.
Here, I made you some cookies!"

Hope you had a pleasant holiday :-)
