How about access to all of them?

Try the following:
gagme
vpnet 
chinet
oaknet

Free is relative.  For the ~$5 per month or less these systems charge you
get a hell of a lot more than the $12+ that some goofy system like <gack>
Prodigy charges.   

Ya have to realize that the only reason they charge is to help pay the phone
bill.  My system transfers only a fraction of the amount of data that they
transfer having full newsfeeds, and my phone bill is over $75 per month
in local calls.

Plus you get a Unix shell. And mail! You know how much MCI Mail charges?
Or AT&T Mail?

I can't believe you can't afford $5 per month for access to over 1000
newsgroups plus a Unix account.  I spend like 5x that per week in bars
(during the off-school season, of course). 

Infoplus was one of a kind in the area.  You won't be finding something
like it again soon.  It costs too much, trust me.  Interconnectivity is
very expensive over telco lines.

Well, it's up to you.  I pay to have news fed to my system, and I'm happy.
