The clout project provides email service in the .chi.il.us domain
for many sites in the Chicago area. Some sites listed above forward
mail and files to other clout sites. For more information about
clout or to report problems send email to postmaster@clout.chi.il.us.

Unusual conditions noted by Postmaster Of The Month or clout system
administrators for this week:

Some sites reported mail bounces because homebru and mcdchg were
unable to establish contact. That problem has been fixed, but there
may have been a configuration problem on nclout. According to
LaMonte Yarroll:

Look closely at your headers. If your mail bounced at nclout, it may have
been due to a configuration problem on nclout. You can tell if it bounced
at nclout because Message-Id: header says "...@clout.chi.il.us" instead
of "...@homebru.chi.il.us". The problem has been fixed, but you may still
see bounces due to timeouts for the next few days. Please resend these
messages.

Greg Gulik reported that he ftp'd the latest C-news source to gagme on
5/7. This is an 800K file, which is presumeably now available at gagme.
