I know this shouldn't be funny but the Tribune's headline writers have a way of luring me in. Today's headline on the main site was: "2 shot at house party among 12 wounded across city" The first thing that went through my mind was ooh house party. I remember house parties being fun albeit sometimes irresponsible. Does two people getting shot at your house party move you up in party status? So I click the link hoping maybe they had a picture gallery of all the hot chicks at this house party but got the solemn headline "12 shot across city" This might have been one day total because it seems kind of low. Earlier this shooting season I recall these numbers in the 50s. Does anyone remember when Chicago used to have total annual murders of close to 1000? Global warming lengthened our shooting and gardening season significantly this year.
