WGN TV's morning news is horrible and unprofessional

For the most part, WGN's morning news is a joke.
Does Robin Baumgartner ever read her stories in advance? Every news
item sounds like a cold reading from her. If she isn't stumbling to
read the teleprompter correctly, she will often stop midway in her
"reporting" to reflect on what she just said ("Oh really? How many
medals did he win?"...). She also has a twitchy blinking of her eyes
that is disconcerting.
Tuned in at 6 am today to get the latest traffic from teleprompter
reader and so-called "traffic person" Valerie Warner who teased with a
report on a Metra slowdown (which affects my morning commute.) "All
that and more in ten...back to you Robin." "Thanks Val."
Ten minutes later, after top-of-the-hour fluff pieces on Michelle
Obama, the convention, and one local news story, Ms. Warner reads to
us the travel times that we can see for ourselves. No story about the
Metra delay, not even a reference to it.
My mistake was trusting "Chicago's Very Own" to be timely, responsive,
and professional.

All the newscast from WGN are worthless. Skilling couldn't predict the
weather if he tried.
