Cute. The poster of this message is harvesting email addresses from
various chi.general threads and sending replies in Mail with those
thread subjects. I guess not being "righter than thou" includes relying
on unethical business practices to promote the program.

I don't mean to be unethical. Didn't see it like that but you're
right. I actually wanted some people from this thread to listen to the
show and maybe comment on it. But, yeah, that can come off as a real
jackass move. Sorry. How about this:

Hey Chi.Media people: I just started an AM show on WJJG and wondered
if you'd listen to it and tell me what you think?

Very, very definitely. We mostly talk about Alpaca porn and cheetos.
But we're trying to expand our views which brought me here. I was
hoping this is a site where people in Chicago radio or very interested
in it come to meet. I might have over-expected there. I kind of waver
between dork and autodidact . . .

Radio is dead. During the power outage last week, I was given an AM
radio, nothing but sports, foreign and WBBM.

Yeah, I got one of the spam emails too, low class.

What is this "AM radio" bit anyway, I checked like the podcasts from iTunes,
both XM and Sirius and the audio channel list from Directv but don't really
see anything that matches.

Is 1530 a port number or something?

Yeah, but after sundown, other cities have some good music and old-time
radio programming. Midnight to 4:30 AM central, 740 from Toronto plays
good stuff. Sunday morning 1AM to 5AM, KMOX in St Louis plays old-time
radio shows. One or more nights the Toronto station plays some too.

Joe Gentile is trying to do good stuff with WJJG, but results vary.

Well if you're not busy . . . give us a shot. We're on Fridays until
Oct then we're going to days. I don't know which--find out Friday.

I think WJJG and Joe Gentile owe a lot, lately, to their board ops.
One of them is producing some really funny commercials, bumpers, bits.
He's giving the station some verve for a different market.

Excuse me?!? You don't know a thing about me and WLS can hardly be considered
leftist. (BTW, his name is *Roe* Conn, lackwit.)

And, I've /never/ been a registered Democrat.

.max didn't suggest you were a Democrat. Why didn't you explain that
you've never lived on Jupiter? They may have party registration there.
