Did anyone hear if there were injuries at the Pan American Festival at
Soldier Field when the storm hit during the 5pm hour?

I was in attendance, when the main act, the rock group JAGUARES took the
stage. They were on less than 5 minutes when the wind broke the overhead
lighting scaffolding and it collapsed on the stage.

We made it back to our vehicle where we were stuck in the south lot for at
least an hour, and there was a lot of emergency vehicle activity at the
south east corner of Soldier Field, the spot where the main stage was
located.

Ahhh, so that's what happened! I showed up a little later hoping to
catch La Ley (which I thought was the main act... :) ) but everything had
been shut down. Any word on whether there's a plan to reschedule the
performance???

(For those not in the know, La Ley is 150 times better than N Sync, about
as pretty, and 30 times cheaper!)
