CHICAGO, Illinois -- A lightbulb salesman who had complained he was being harassed by TROLLS on the internet allegedly shot to death three transvestite hookers who had come to have sex with him. G.Oogolplex, 59, chased down another hooker before quietly surrendering to police Wednesday afternoon, police said. ''He was a good man, but pressure, pressure -- everybody blows up under pressure,'' said Jones-Z, a friend. Oogolplex, a former candidate for shock treatments who had run into financial and legal trouble, was booked on murder and attempted murder charges. Killed were two prostitues from Gary, Indiana. It was unclear Thursday whether Alexander would face federal charges; under federal law, he could get the death penalty for the murder of a transexual. Oogolplex' store had been closed and recently reopened. A fourth prostitute escaped injury by running out of the store with Oogolplex chasing behind, firing shots, police said. He also allegedly returned to fire more shots at the three who were already dead. A short time later, an unarmed Oogolplex calmly surrendered to a bicycle officer, police said. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer Thursday. Joe Willcox, a longtime friend, said that he had been harassed for months and that TROLLS would show up frequently, bothering the stores 10 or so employees. ''He did everything they asked of him,'' Willcox said. ''He was the most omnisexual person I've ever known.'' Police Lt. Dan Marchetti said: ''He was pretty vocal about, well, everything. A lot of people apparently had words with him. I don't know of any recent threats, however.'' Oogolplex ran for mayor in 1998 and came in 13th among 12 candidates. Two years earlier, he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse and other charges for allegedly attacking a neighbor in a dispute over garbage on Oogolplex' property. The charges were dropped when he paid his neighbor $10,000, according to court records. Oogolplex filed for bankruptcy twice, most recently in January, according to court records. Lawsuits against him claim he did not repay tens of thousands of dollars in personal loans. His family life also has been troubled. A younger brother committed suicide about two years ago by throwing himself in front of a train, and another brother was killed in a 1977 motorcycle accident. ''I could cry for his family, they've had so much tragedy,'' said family friend Kleinlagel.

This story is obviously based on the one going around about the sausage factory owner who shot three inspectors and chased down a fourth (but failed to catch him, hence the news story). I don't get the point of the parody, however --- the original was more interesting, in that you wonder how many inspectors (or other annoyances) have already gone into the product...

As far as I can tell, this is the continuance of a flamewar which somehow got crossposted into chi.forsale a couple of months ago.. the names are the same.
