Hey, I think this was spurned by my suggestion! Cool. Well, I think it would great if the other chico ISP's would carry the chico.* groups, I used to view them all the time while I attended CSUC. Some of the groups might not necessarily be very useful like all the groups for the various different classes, but that's to decide later I guess. Thanks again, gregg (sorry for the crosspost) brian moore wrote in message ... >[Somewhat offtopic, since I'm not selling anything. :)] > >Chico.* is an interesting heirarchy.... > >Despite this group getting a reasonable amount of traffic from a variety >of places, officially it doesn't exist. > >In fact, officially, there are no chico.* newsgroups at all. > >That seems sort of silly to me: obviously people in Chico read news and >there seems to be good propogation... why shouldn't chico.* exist and >have more groups that are at all the Chico providers? > >I've vainly tried to contact the news administrator at CSU and gotten no >response. :( > >So, I figured it's time to start the ball rolling anyway: I have sent >out a newgroup message to create 'chico.config'. > >Like alt.config or all the other .config groups, the intent of >chico.config is to discuss what to do with other groups in the >heirarchy.
