problema con getURL en Flash

tengo un problema con flash (actionscript)
como se puede abrir un archivo local usando la funcion getURL() ?
trato de abrir un archivo excel en la misma carpeta en q esta el flash
pero la funcion agrega el "http:" antes de la ruta al archivo lo que
hace que el explorer trate de buscar el archivo en internet
alguien sabe si se puede abrir sin que agregue el "http://"???
