Agrega la siguiente linea al /etc/ttytab:
ttya "/usr/etc/getty std.19200" vt100 on # modem
^^^^ ^^^^^
O bien ttyb si usas la segunda puerta serial.
En el /etc/gettytab se definen los parametros para la sonfiguracion
std.19200 (si 8n1, si 7e1, etc )
