WHAT'S NEW section below.

Last updated: Wednesday 03-20-96 07:40am EST
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I only include the IRC servers that work for me. Different servers allow
certain regions of the USA access to their server. If the server works
for me then it will most likely allow you access. See my "No Access"
server list below the EFNet list.

You need special IRC clients to connect to all the servers here. To
get one for your specific operating system or machine go to
ftp://cs-pub.bu.edu/irc/clients.

The EMail address of the administrators of the IRC server are accessible
by typing '/admin <servername>'.
Ex. /admin irc.ais.net
To get the MOTD (Message Of The Day) of a server type '/motd <servername>'
Ex. /motd irc.ais.net
You can only do these if you are connected to an IRC server that is
connected to the same IRC network as the server you are querying.

Most of these servers listen for connections on port 6667 which is the
standard default on all servers. If you know how, try to use an alternate
port if one is listed for the server you so desire to utilize. It makes it
quicker and helps balance the load.

You may write me EMail if you wish to get IRC help, a new IRC server I
don't have, any suggestions, etc. I would appreciate it.

Servers marked with three astericks (***) have been ADDED to the list in the
past 15 days.

Servers marked with one asterick (*) have had minor updates or changes
or have been renamed, etc. in the past 15 days.

Servers marked with one plus sign (+) have notes at the bottom of that
section.
