The following press release was issued June 10, 1996:
Edison Did it, Bell Did it, and We'll Do it
--DWM Claims--
DWM Wireless:
Can transmit 1,000 times more cellular phones within the same air space as one current cellular phone (lowering the cost
significantly).
Can transmit 1.2 Gigabytes per second (routed to a specific location without hardwired switching)
Can network an unlimited number of computers and up to 1,000 computers can communicate with each other at one
time.
Can transmit 1,000 times more channels than current television, radio, and cable TV. Also, each channel can be routed
to a specific location without hardwired switching.
Basic Benefits of DWM Wireless:
No air time charges for local calls on cell phone (flat rate-- apx. $20-$50 per month)
Interactive video conferences from a cell phone
On Demand-- public TV programs (HDTV reception), cable TV, radio (stereo reception, etc.)-- these transmissions
can also be received by a DWM video cellular phone.
From a remote location, a cellular lap-top computer can access any type of stationary hardware such as-- hard drives,
floppy drives, CD ROM's, printers, home video recorders, alarm systems, etc.
DWM Modem Transmitting Through Current Cable Lines:
Can transmit over 6,000,000 BAUD (apx. 200xs current modems over POTS).
Can transmit telephone, television, cable TV, and computer data.
All transmissions from DWM modem can be switched and routed-- similar to current telephone systems-- without
adding any hardwired switching to present cable systems.
DWM Modem Transmitting Through Current Telephone Lines (POTS):
Can transmit 150,000 to 600,000 BAUD (apx. 20xs faster than current modems over POTS).
Real-time video conferencing (using video compression).
IAS has its operational DWM prototype. This prototype will prove that DWM works and that DWM is
entirely capable of living up to its claims as stated above.
Engineers have argued that DWM is impossible, based on three mathematical formulas: Fourier Transformation Theorem,
Nyquest's Rule, and Shannon's Law. IAS will go into detail on these formulas at the press conference; however, until then, we
will throw the engineers a bone to chew on-- the key is in the filter. See you in a couple of weeks!

ALSO:
IAS is proud to announce that the U.S. patent for its Automated Fingerprint Identification Machine (AFIM) has been issued
and the international patents have been applied for. Also, the first patent for Digital Wave Modulation (DWM) has been issued.
Three other patents, extensions of this core patent, are pending. All four DWM patents have been applied for internationally.
