example% cis.ohio-state.edu has lionfish and skink and flamingo....
example% plymouth.edu has oz
and so on and so forth.

where can i find this info for any random system??
thanks.

Someone should probably ask why first, but...

If by system you really mean a domain name, use nslookup or dig to do a
zone transfer. eg: dig @authoritative-server domain axfr.
