Hi everyone,

I have a question about unzip and arc.  I have gotten and download some files from ftp site to my personal computer, but I can't get them either unzip or arc.
What is the problem? Is that the problem of the version of the pkunzip.exe or arc.exe? Where can I get a new version of these files?

	You may forget to change to binary mode before download!

The answer to your question is probably yes...you are running an out of
date version of unzip or arc.

Available on Magnus, in one of the /pub directories, are dos archive/
pack routines  (ftp magnus).  You can try them.  If you are running
OS/2, ftp to ftp-os2.nmsu.edu and look in /pub/os2/all/archivers.

Beware, however, the Magnus .zip routines are themselves not up to date.
They do not reflect changes made by Info-Zip in November.

Complain to CONSULT if it turns out to be a problem for you too.
