unformat HPFS-disk URGENT!

we have the following problem on our system:

a virus (parity B) infected our winnt4-system. so we partitionated and
formatted the harddisk 1. due to unreasonable things the harddisk 2
became UNPARTITIONATED (we didn't change anything with this disk except
hanging it form primary slave on secondary master bus). so we created a
new partition with the diskmanager. now the disk ist unformatted and
can't be accessed from the filemanager (unknown filesystem). chkdsk
says: the filesystem is RAW.

is there any possibility to UNFORMAT the disk, so that the files can be
accessed? the last backup has been made over one month ago and some
files are needed!

any suggestions??
