I manage a company Intranet. The Company has a LAN with public file shares. These files need to be accessed via applications and web browsing. We run our plant intranet on an NT machine running IIS3. The problem is that when some (not all) users try to access these files through their browser, they get an Anonymous login error. I have learned that the Anonymous Internet User has to be added to the share properties and security properties of the directory we are trying to access. We did that and gave the Anonymous Internet User full access but we still have the intermittent problem. What is causing this?
