slow file system update on NT need help now

We have a "system" which produces files then moves them around. The problem
is that when the program which creates the files finishes ( and has
produced a file ) the next part of the process which moves does not see the
file for some time !!!!. As a work around we have put code in that sits
there and loops around polling for the file. Which is a bit crap. Does
anyone know of a way around this problem with the file system on NT 3.51

Please can you cc your response to:-
saeed.choudhary@burnsos.com

as pretty sure that will not get much time to look at news groups for next
two weeks and then I'm out of here!

You might try memory mapped files to share memory between processes. I
would
think this would be faster, haven't tried it.

thanks Edward, but one thing I forgot to mentions was the prog we spawn
that creates the file is third party and we have no control over the way it
works. Oh the woes of system integration !
