Hi,

i have a problem with mapping a subdirectory of a shared map on the
windows nt server.
the situation:
a network with a winnt server and windows 98 clients. on the server a
map called users is shared with several subdirs(the users). I would
like to map the user dirs as a drive when they log on the nt server.
The login script and the option connect homedir to (by user
management) do not work. Windows 98 does not understand %username% but
also direct pad in the script, \\pdc\users\itsme, won't work.

I have done it by sharing each user dir seperate and hidden(I do not
want to see all the shared users in network neigborhood), but then the
$ is visible to the user in the explorer when mapped.

is there a easy solotion for this problem other than buying winnt
workstation.?
thnx for your reply and sorry for the crossposting,
Jelle
