My fault, the disk space side issue.  I still feel that even one
copy is a waste, but that's not the biggest reason I don't like
spam or velveta.

The cle.* groups are not the only ones drowning in spam, either.
It even invades the comp.* groups.  The alt.* groups have always
been full of anarchy, but even that seems to be getting worse.
It is very difficult to hold a reasonable discussion any more,
because you're spending all of your time editing the kill file.

Don't get depressed.  I'm a part-time programmer, and I complain
about stupid programs (and their authors) all the time.  There are
a few good programmers out there, but a lot of programmers, if you
get my drift.  I think some of them should be sentenced to five
years of using their software with their only recourse for help
being their own tech support line.  Too many of them do not under-
stand their users, the goal of the software they are writing, nor
how to create a usable interface.  I'm not surprised that someone
clueless to how news should work is announcing their news software.
