I take it you're flying to Cleveland, or otherwise won't be driving into Cleveland. Anyway, the Ohio Turnpike is always pretty good, but not exactly on your way. The key to Ohio winter driving is trying not to drive when the snow is actually falling- not always easy or even possible. That said, try to avoid the eastern suburbs- it's not that road maintenance is any worse there, it's just that there's an odd phenomenon known as "lake effect snow" that hits the area from downtown Cleveland up along Lake Erie to Buffalo, and southward to the Turnpike, with more snow than the rest of the state each winter. Best way to Oklahoma would probably be I-71. All Ohio interstates are well maintained, but 71 is more direct. Take it all the way to Louisville, then 65 to Nashville & onward on I-40. This gets you out of winter wonderland more quickly than trying to go through Indiana. -- Jeff Billman Columbus, OH Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
