Currently there is a major problem in practicing medicine as we have
traditionally and we all are certainly aware of the adverse effects. This
is, of course, "managed care." This process has changed our abilities to be
the physicians that we have been in the past regarding care and needs of
our patients.

An area in which we can provide for our patients and ourselves is in the
domain of nutrition. Presently I have become involved with supplementing my
patient's diets with a food supplement known as "Spirulina." This food
supplement is a basic food that contains antioxidants, minerals, vitamins,
and a complete protein that has complimented my patient's and my own
personal diet. In this time of "fast food," it has become essential for our
sense of wellness to provide a diet that is both nutritious and nurturing.

It is, of course necessary that each of us eat adequate amounts of fruits
and vegetables to provide us sound nutrition, as well as, normal
functioning of our gastrointestinal tracts. In fact, the Spirulina does
enhance our digestive process significantly, as has been my personal
experience.
