It's available in general, yes. Your specific location is probably one of those where ISDN just isn't a priority for Ameritech. IMHO, Ameritech has its head pretty far up its rectum when it comes to ISDN. Those of you who know Jamie up here at Multiverse, he recently moved and wanted ISDN installed in his new residence. It took them almost *two months* to get the order straightened out, before the line was activated. The wiring was done early on, the line was not active though... Then again, I've had some Ameritech nightmares lately, so maybe I'm just a litte jaded :-) ISDN from Ameritech is like a $140 install, and $40-$45 or so monthly. If you're residential, that's it. If you're in a commercial district, yes, it is about a nickel a minute while you're dialed out. But like I said, if you get a residential line, you don't have to pay that per-minute charge. That doesn't include the charge from the ISP so that something on the other side of your ISDN will answer and connect you to the net, either. Anyway, time to take the birthday girl out for the evening... see everyone around. -d.
