Wee. Sprained Link! I'd like to know why Cyberdrive claims that they are
the "fastest" connection to the net in Cleveland with a single T-1 line
to SprintLink and that most of the time that I connect to them (Yes, I
have and account with most of the other providers in town) it's lagged
beyond all reality? I routinely notice packet losses of %20 when
connected through them and FTP ing from other sites directly on the
Sprint Backbone.
As for the claim that they are the "fastest" access in Cleveland, I'd
have to say it's a hogwash marketing claim.
1. They don't support any ISDN dial up as it's not available in Chagrin
Falls.
2. They have a single T-1 to Sprint as opposed to Multiple T-1's. (APK has
a T-1 to MCI and OAR-Net, with PROPER BGP routing. Even EN has multiple
T-1 lines now.)
They do however, have VERY good marketing which is something many of the
other providers lack.
: They're also expanding like mad. They have a number for the Columbia
: station to grab alot of Cleveland's west side that would normally be
: long distance, and they've just recently put in an Akron line too.
: Check 'em out, they're pretty darned good.
Call forwarding is a wonderful thing, is it not? Problem is that call
forwarding adds extra hops as it bounces from switch
to switch generally reducing the clarity and stability of the call.
: P.S. Rumors going around that Multiverse is going under soon anyway,
: so at the very _least_ I would say not Multiverse.
Rumors are rumors. Facts are Facts. Best to stick to the later.
