    Dear music seller,
For those of you who don't know, GEMM (Global Electronic Music
Marketplace) is a sophisticated search program with links to many music
related sites. GEMM makes it easy for people to search and browse through
inventories or catalogues of any music related items, and learn about the
dealers and collectors who are selling them. Search by title, artist,
label, genre, etc. in any music related format.

WWW: http://GEMM.com
Telnet: GEMM.com
E-Mail "mailbot" GEMM@GEMM.com (This is the actual program and only
responds to commands. To use it, simply send an E-Mail message with
nothing but the word HELP, or the name/title of the artist, group, album,
or genre that you are interested in. You will receive an automatic
response.)

We used to charge a per item charge for what you list in GEMM. Now we
are free. That's right, FREE!!
GEMM has been under development for almost two years now. It is
constantly improving and software is being added to make it faster and
capable of downloading large amounts of data from the internet to desktop
in a short period of time.

We at GEMM are developing a system of order processing to facilitate
sales on GEMM. GEMM will have the capability to process orders for
browsers on line. GEMM will handle all the details of the sale for the
customer. Customers will be able to use their credit card on line to pay
for what they wish to purchase.
Order processing is optional. You don't need to have us process
orders for you to list what you have for sale in GEMM for free.
We will need to know which of you would like to take part in the order
processing system system. To participate, we will need a current telephone
for you in case we need to reach you immediately. We will need to have you
keep your lists up to date so that customers are not ordering items
already sold. We will ask that you send off puchased items as soon as you
can to insure GEMM's (and your's) reputation.
Customers will pay an extra service fee of %10 or $2, whichever is
greater, for the convenience of having GEMM process their orders. They
will still have the option of contacting you directly and saving the cost
of the service fee. When sales are made by credit card, GEMM will ring up
the sale at our office and send you a check for the items sold and a ship
to name and address.

We prefer lists be sent to us by Email or floppy disk (with your
information saved or exported as an "ASCII" or "TEXT" file) but we will
accept typewritten and handwritten lists as well. To have your lists
entered into GEMM more quickly, use only one line for each item, with
fields separated by a backslash or other special character, like this:

*Your reference number\Artists First Name\Artist Last Name or Group
Name\Media (CD, LP, etc...)\Cover Condition\Media Condition\*Genre (type
of music)\*Label\*Release Number\Price\*Descriptive Comment

Fields marked "*" are optional. If it's more convenient, you can group
items together under headings, like this:
"The following are jazz CD's for $8.99"

If you don't send your list in electronic format, try to send printed
lists with large, clear, dark characters from a computer printer or
typewriter.

     Sincerely,
