Question: Hypertext commands to access "New" files

I want to define a hypertext command that does the equivalent
of clicking the FM main menu's "New" button. (I want to have
the user click one button and have FM display a "New" (NoName
version) of a particular file.)

Is this possible?

The only potential workaround that I can think of is to
define a system message that copies the template file (with a
Unix command) but I don't think it's possible to include
multiple hypertext commands on one line. (It's easy enough
to do the system message (resulting in a copied file) but
then the user would have to click another button to open the
copied file and I want to avoid multiple buttons for this one
(simple) process.)

If I could, I'd do something like this:

   message system cp file.a file.b ; gotolink file.b:my.link

but this doesn't appear to be a legal FM hypertext command.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.
Barbara

If anyone knows how to do this (execute a system command/script
and do a hypertext jump with just one mouse click), I would
really, *really*, *REALLY* like to know how too.

I don't have any of the documentation about integrating
applications with FrameMaker, but I was thinking that you might
be able to use some RPC message from a shell script to tell the
current FrameMaker session to open a document and do a hypertext
jump. I haven't a clue if it's possible or how you send such a
message, but there have been some other messages recently about
RPC and such, and perhaps those people might know if any of
this is possible.
