Installing FInal Cut Studio 3 when you have FCS 2 installed

I have FCS-2 running on my MBP 15" '08 late model, . . . just picked up 
FCS-3, . . . i was wondering what others did in the same situation, did 
they remove FCS-2 entirely, or just install FCS-3 over FCS-2?
If you removed FCS-2, how did you do that?
