The purpose of this message is to invite you to participate in two
recent interactive features of SEI Interactive, a Web-based
publication of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
These features are the This Week section and the
discussion groups, which debuted in the December 1998 issue of SEI
Interactive (http://interactive.sei.cmu.edu/).

.........
This Week

As the name suggests, the This Week section changes weekly (usually on
Friday afternoons) with a new short article and an interactive poll
related to the topics in our current Features section
(which is devoted to requirements engineering in the March 1999 issue).

The new short article and poll question are now up at:

	http://interactive.sei.cmu.edu/This_Week/This_Week.htm

This week's short article is called
	What We Have Here Is a Failure
        to Communicate . . . Our Requirements

The poll question is
        Have you encountered problems in finding a common language for
        communicating requirements information among all the parties
        involved in a software acquisition?
        * Frequently
        * Occasionally
        * Rarely
        * Never

Please vote, even if you've not been involved in a software acquisition.

Discussion Groups

We have also added discussion groups (message boards) to SEI
Interactive so that you can post comments, questions, observations,
and feedback about any of the articles and columns in the publication.
You will find links to the discussion groups on the left side of each
page and at the end of each article and column. Currently there are
discussions underway on the COTS Spot board, the Net Effects board,
and the Watts New board.

We hope that you will make This Week and the discussion groups
regular stops in your Internet travels.

The SEI Interactive team is always interested in your comments,
questions, and suggestions for improvement. Contact the SEI
Interactive Team at interactive@sei.cmu.edu
