Friends,

There will be a demonstration at the Chancellor's residence at Devonshire
between Fifth and Ellsworth in Shadyside on Saturday, October 7, 2000 from
11 AM till noon.  This is the first of a series of "First Saturdays" when we
will assemble outside his residence to remind the University and the public
that denying medical benefits is a front burner issue.  The tactic of
demonstrating at the Chancellor's residence was used successfully to educate
the University on the need to stop investing in South Africa during the
apartheid era.

Please attend and invite everyone who supports us to attend also.  If you
have questions, call the Jan Nefke of our Community Action Committee at
242.5171.
