If you were out as trans/genderqueer to at least one other person in your high school, attended school in the US, and were born after 1964, i need to hear from you! I am a genderqueer Masters student in Women?s Studies at George Washington University where i?m working on my thesis on how transgendered and genderqueer youth relate to their peers in high school. You can learn a bit more about my project at http://gwis2.circ.gwu.edu/~wyss/thesis.html and more about me personally at http://gwis2.circ.gwu.edu/~wyss/bio.html. You do not currently have to be in high school to be interviewed. I?m interested in talking to anyone who was born 1965 or later. (If you are under 18 years old, i need to have parental permission to interview you ? federal government rules. <FROWN> ) If you live in Washington, DC; St. Louis, MO; or New York City, NY, i would strongly prefer to interview you in person. Those interviews will last approximately 2-3 hours and can be anyplace where you feel comfortable. For everyone else and for all deaf and hard-of-hearing folks, i will send you an open-ended e-mail questionnaire that you should be able to complete in about one hour. Please send me (Shannon Wyss) an e-mail at mailto:HugDyke@aol.com before December 31, 2000, if you?re interested or if you have any questions about my project!! And please forward this message to anyone else you feel might be able to help me. **Do Not Forward After 12/31/00**Do Not Forward After 12/31/00**Do Not Forward After 12/31/00** ****** Shannon Wyss, Executive Aide Department of Sociology George Washington University 2129 G Street, NW, Room 201B Washington, DC 20052 ph: (202) 994-6345 fx: (202) 994-3239 work URL: http://www.gwu.edu/~soc/wyss.html personal URL: http://gwis2.circ.gwu.edu/~wysss "Just think -- guns have a constitutional amendment protecting them and women don?t." --Eleanor Smeal ---------- End Forwarded Message ----------
