Today's Curmudgeon's Corner (5 PM to 6 PM on WRCT 88.3 FM) will once
again be on the issue of the removal of some sexually explicit netnews
groups at Carnegie Mellon. In particular we will be disscussing the
impact of yesterday's resolution by Faculty Senate, and the media
coverage of this issue.
Confirmed Guests (alphabetical order):
Peter Berger (lawyer for Telerama public access internet providers)
Phillip Elmer-DeWitt (Reporter covering the story for TIME Magazine)
Bridgette Landers (SCS Student Senator)
Lynn Tinsley (Faculty Senator)
Dave Touretzky (SCS Faculty)
Representitives from the Carnegie Mellon administration and from other
media covering the story have been invited, but have not yet responded
positively.
We encourage you to call in to add your own viewpoints at 621-9728 and
268-2883.
The live talk program will be immediately followed by a rebroadcast of
WRCT's coverage of the "Freedom in Cyberspace" rally which took place
Wednesday.
Both progams will also be available live over the internet courtesy of
Telerama online services.
