all,my comments is below:
these days I try to develop a java print programme to run at Mac os 9.x.
what a pity, the jvm on mac 9 is below 1.2,
all you know, the print tool in java 1.1 is so poor.
so then we change another way--try to load dlls to call print interface on mac9.
truely it successed!
but the more poor thing we met is how to handle pointer in java.
so I said that java is poor.
but I should say all you said is right, truely I confirm the jdks up version 1.2 is much more strong.
especially jdk1.4.and we successed in doing such work on MAC os X.
rsong
thanks
