Yes, during the installation of Tomcat there is an option to set it up as NT
Service. I just did that during Tomcat 4.0 installation lastweek. Now it
appears as Apache Tomcat service in Windows control panel->Services.

May be you can uninstall and reinstall Tomcat with this option? Just a
thought.
